Releasing Friday 4th May in the U.K., Spiderman 3 looks fantastic in all the trailers I have seen so far.

Not only does Spiderman fight Sandman  and the inevitable duel with Harry Osbourne as the new goblin, he has to fight his innermost desires when his thoughts and suit are influenced by the alien life form Venom. His suit is turned jet black and as a result, he becomes more powerful and begins to act on his quest for revenge after finding out that the sandman actually killed his Uncle Ben.

Realising that his behaviour has been influenced by this new suit, Peter eventually rips the alien black suit off, but it just finds another host in the shape of a reporter following Spiderman, and thus Venom is created and they go head to head.

Peter also becomes close to another woman in the form of Gwen Stacy when everything around him becomes chaotic.

Spiderman 3 promises to be even better than it's previous 2 episodes, with stunning special effects and a load of fight scenes and superhero soul seraching thrown in.

I have written an alternative version of the third film, which I sent to Sam Raimi via the Spiderman website. He didn't respond. He may not have even read it.

He's been quoted as saying that he'd like to do a fourth film, along with Tobey Maguire, but only if the script is right.

To that end, I intend to now write a version for Spiderman 4. Not straight away you understand. I'll watch Spiderman 3 on Friday 4th and see where the characters can go from here.
